Before relocating to Silverton, Colorado, our President and Founder struggled with PTSD, relying on a daily regimen of six medications after enduring three combat tours. However, just a year after settling in Silverton, he discovered the transformative power of Mother Nature and the great outdoors, allowing him to become medication-free. His personal journey inspired the creation of this 501(c)(3) organization, driven by a deep commitment to give back and extend a helping hand to fellow veterans in their coping and healing process.
Mission
Our 501(c)(3) mission is to collaborate with the VA and military veteran organizations, creating a dedicated program to support disabled veterans through the healing power of nature and outdoor activities. We aim to forge partnerships, offering therapeutic outdoor trips in Silverton and surrounding areas year-round. We're passionate about making a profound impact on veterans' lives and creating a brighter future. Additionally, we're excited to establish a scholarship fund, nurturing youth engagement in outdoor adventures, from freestyle ski competitions to hiking excursions. Our goal is to empower the youth to embrace the outdoors and break free from sedentary lifestyles, promoting a healthier and more active future for the next generation.
